As an Intern in the Product Development field for 6 months, you will be part of the Regional Innovation – Sweet Goods team, in the Taste and Wellbeing division. You will be working on chocolate and applying new flavours / profiles.

You will be part of a supportive, diverse, and responsible team which is already curious to meet you.

This role is be based in Kemptthal (Switzerland).

You will:

  • Do research on cocoa mass in chocolates, source new ingredients, support practical application.
  • Collect information from the markets and external sources and prepare data
  • Support practical trials of sweet goods
  • Prepare flavoured food products for research projects, customer projects and/or internal presentations.
  • Select flavours for projects according to specified requirements (i.e., customer, regulatory, legislation, technical costs)
  • Participate in evaluations of flavours in food applications for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations
  • Manage flavour data and recipe documentation for food products
  • Maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles
  • Support tasting sessions and presentations to customers/visitors
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following safety policies

You:

  • Are in the process or have just recently completed a bachelor or master’s degree in the field of food science
  • Have great Interest in Consumer-end Food products and Technology and the passion for Food and Tasting new products
  • Have prior experience or a keen curiosity for conducting research related to chocolate products
  • Proficient knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Good sense of organization
  • Team-focused work style
  • Good Computer knowledge (Word, Excel)

Praktikant Sensorik, Getreidetechnologie und Forschung (m/w/d) als Einstieg in die MIGROS Industrie

Was du bewegst

  • Selbstständige Projektbearbeitung von Sensorik-, Innovations-, Marketing-, Nachhaltigkeits-, Agrarwissenschafts- und Lebensmittelwissenschaftsthemen (inklusive Bericht und Präsentation).
  • Q-Prüfung nationaler Neuheiten, Panelschulungen, Mitarbeit bei MIGROS-Industrieübergreifenden Projekten, Überprüfung neuer sensorischer Testmethoden.
  • Ermitteln von chemischen, chemisch-physikalischen und rheologischen Kennzahlen zur Qualitätsbeurteilung und Entwicklung von Getreide und Mahlprodukten und die Weiterentwicklung der Methodik.
  • Administrative Tätigkeiten im SAP / MS Office.
  • Aufbau deiner Zukunftschancen in der MIGROS-Gemeinschaft.

Was du mitbringst

  • Bildung: Bachelor-Studium (Universität, Fachhochschule) im Bereich Lebensmittelwissenschaften
  • Berufserfahrung: – Erfahrung im Lebensmittelbereich von Vorteil
  • Zuverlässige und teamfähige Persönlichkeit mit einer selbstständigen und exakten Arbeitsweise.
  • Sicherer Umgang mit der MS-Office Palette.
  • Deutsch (fliessend)
