From Surplus to Value

In line with our mission to tackle food waste by eliminating resource inefficiencies in global grain production and inciting a transition to a more sustainable foodmarket, we have developed our superstar ingredient – SustainGrain.

SustainGrain is an exciting new BIO ingredient, resembling a fortified “flour”, while keeping a pleasant mouthfeel, light colour and neutral taste within the products in which it is incorporated. It nutritionally outperforms other grain flours regarding fiber and protein content. Additionally, it offers high versatility and functionality for clean label product integrations that are better for end-consumers and the environment.Before our scientific approach to bran treatment, 95% of bran in Switzerland was either wasted or misappropriated for animal feed and compost. Through the upcycling process, including our unique treatment approach, we are able to re-introduce bran as a superfood.
